Thank You for Visiting Coffee Odysseys

I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has visited my Coffee Odysseys blog. A special thanks to those who subscribed on the very first day—it truly means a lot! It’s amazing to see readers from around the world engaging with my content.

This is my first attempt at running an English blog using WordPress. Until now, I’ve only shared my coffee stories in Korean, but I’m excited to introduce them to a wider audience in English.

As a humanities scholar unfamiliar with the IT world, I’ve spent today learning how to create a WordPress page. Now I can finally post articles! That said, I still find it challenging to upload images or organize multiple menus, so please bear with me as I work on improving the blog.

Once I get more comfortable with the platform, I’ll make the blog easier to navigate, so you can enjoy reading the content even more. For now, I hope you’ll forgive any inconveniences as I learn the ropes.

What kind of coffee stories do you enjoy? On this blog, I plan to write a lot about the Asia Coffee Road project—how coffee traveled from Ethiopia to Asia, took root in different countries, and blossomed into unique coffee cultures.

I also love running and, occasionally, I’ll write about the connection between coffee and running—similar to Haruki Murakami’s reflections on running and writing.

Today has been all about learning WordPress, which is why I posted so many articles. While I won’t be able to post this frequently every day, I’ll continue to share interesting coffee stories whenever I have time.

Let’s meet here often and connect over coffee!

I’m Dr. Ohsoon Yun, a cultural geographer with a passion for coffee. Over the years, my research and travels have taken me to some of the world’s most renowned coffee regions, from the highlands of Ethiopia to the urban coffee culture of Tokyo. Coffee has always been more than a drink to me—it’s a gateway to understanding culture, economics, and community.
