Friends, let me tell you something.

I studied philosophy for four years in university.

In the Korean job market, it was — and still is — one of the least popular majors.

But looking back now,

being able to study philosophy in depth was one of the greatest blessings of my life.

Thanks to that foundation, I was able to build upon it with arts management, sociology, and human geography.

Now, I’ve moved beyond Ethiopian coffee tourism and am researching the Asian Coffee Road.

People say philosophy is useless.

But no, philosophy taught me to think deeply and see a broader path.

And even now, I continue to explore new roads. ☕🚶‍♂️✨

I’m Dr. Ohsoon Yun, a cultural geographer with a passion for coffee. Over the years, my research and travels have taken me to some of the world’s most renowned coffee regions, from the highlands of Ethiopia to the urban coffee culture of Tokyo. Coffee has always been more than a drink to me—it’s a gateway to understanding culture, economics, and community.
